"How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours."
― Wayne W. Dyer

Welcome to my page. My name is Basher, I am a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Art by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC), a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Professional Counselors, a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and a Licensed DWI Intervention Program Instructor by the Texas Department of State Health Services, in addition to serving as a Fellow and Clinical Supervisor at The University of Miami School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Family Studies. I am also an Honorary Clinical Instructor at Walden University Graduate School of nursing.  I work with the full spectrum of clinical presentations, ranging from mild to severe.

I have spent thirty-plus years serving in many settings, starting in not-for-profit organizations. I provided and continue to provide services to the military and their families as an “MFLC” Military Family Life Consultant, providing services to our military men and women in many corners of the world.

I work with anxiety disorders, depression, self-esteem issues,  and relational problems, bipolar affective disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder.  For families,  I use the BSFT model to help families come together to Improve communication. By functioning as a guide for them, and together we develop reference points such as how they can set house rules, talk to each other, and resolve conflicts.
